From 30 October to 2 November 2025, the city of Lucca will host one of the most important events in Europe: Lucca Comics & Games. An event that grows every year, becoming the point of reference for those who love comics, games, cosplay and pop culture. Four intense days in which the historic center of Lucca transforms into a huge open-air stage, attracting visitors from Italy and abroad.
An event that combines passion and community
Lucca Comics & Games is not just a fair, but is where comic book publishers, artists, writers, video game developers and film producers meet. It is also an opportunity for fans to live their passion directly, surrounded by people with the same interests. In 2025, organizers promise even more space and content, with a program that aims to satisfy the most diverse audience. The 2025 edition will be inspired by the theme “French Kiss”, a tribute to kissing as a powerful engine of emotions and storytelling, capable of revolutionizing stories, relationships and genres. This theme gives the entire event a poetic and original thread, inviting visitors to rediscover the magic of small gestures that change events.
Comics: the beating heart of Lucca Comics & Games
The world of comics remains the heart of the event. Italian and international publishers will bring news, limited editions and preview works to Lucca. There will be no shortage of exhibitions dedicated to the great masters and new emerging authors. For enthusiasts, the most awaited moment remains that of the copy signing sessions, where they can meet their favorite artists live.
The exhibitions set up in the city’s historic buildings add a unique touch: they are not just exhibitions, but cultural itineraries that allow you to discover comics in a critical and artistic way. An unmissable opportunity for those who consider comics not only entertainment, but also an art form.
Games, video games and interactive experiences
Alongside comics, the Games sector continues to grow. eSports gaming tables, tournaments, demonstrations and competitions attract thousands of visitors every year. In 2025, there will be great attention to new technologies: virtual and augmented reality experiences will allow you to experience interactive worlds, offering a taste of the future of entertainment.
Video games will once again have a central role, with official presentations, previews and the opportunity to try the latest news. A unique opportunity for gamers of all ages.
Cosplay: creativity on stage
Cosplay is another indispensable element of Lucca Comics & Games. Thousands of enthusiasts bring their favorite characters to life, transforming the streets and squares of Lucca into an open-air set. The official competitions attract cosplayers from all over Europe and represent one of the most followed and photographed shows of the event.
Lucca: a city that becomes an event
What also makes Lucca Comics & Games special is the unique setting of the city. Lucca, with its intact Renaissance walls and medieval historic centre, is transformed into an integral part of the event. Walking through the pavilions means immersing yourself in a perfect combination of history and contemporaneity, between architecture and imagination.
