MareDiVino 2026 in Livorno: Wine, Food and a Seaside Stay

A food and wine event can be a lovely reason to visit somewhere you might otherwise pass on the way to another Tuscan destination. MareDiVino 2026 in Livorno, officially named MareDiVino e DiGusto, gives you a reason to pause: spend a day exploring regional flavours, then leave room for the waterfront and an overnight stay.

Late November is not a promise of beach weather. It is an opportunity to build a different kind of coastal break, with an event at its centre and a flexible plan around it. If you are travelling to Livorno, start with three decisions: which public day to attend, where to sleep and how to get back after tasting. Here is a practical starting point.

MareDiVino 2026 in Livorno: the confirmed dates

The official MareDiVino e DiGusto website lists 28–30 November 2026 at the Modigliani Forum, Via Veterani dello Sport 8, Livorno. The event brings together the wine heritage of coastal Tuscany and the wider region with local food culture.

There is an important distinction when choosing your travel dates. The city’s official Visit Livorno events portal links to public admission for Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 November. Monday 30 November is intended for buyers, with separate registration. A leisure visitor should therefore plan around the weekend, rather than assume that all three days have the same admission arrangements.

Where to check tickets and opening times

Use the ticket collection linked by the organiser and select the correct date. Check the final amount, any booking fees, what your ticket includes and the admission conditions. The Saturday listing currently gives 10:30 am to 7 pm; check again before travelling, and consult the separate listing if you choose Sunday.

Look for the actual 2026 programme before planning around a particular tasting or activity. Details from an earlier edition do not confirm this year’s schedule. For questions about children, pets or accessibility, ask the organiser directly before buying tickets. It is much easier to resolve those details while your plans are still flexible.

Make the tasting day your own

You do not need to arrive with a professional vocabulary or an ambitious tasting checklist. Begin with what interests you: wines you enjoy with dinner, a style you would like to understand, or a producer you would like to meet. Once the exhibitor list is available, pick a handful of priorities instead of trying to visit every stand.

Keep short notes on your phone or in a notebook. A producer’s name, a label and a few words about what you liked will be easier to use later than dozens of photographs without context. Asking how a wine is made, or what the producer would serve with it, can open up a conversation without turning your visit into a formal lesson.

Build in breaks, water and a meal, and taste at a comfortable pace. If you plan to bring bottles home, think about luggage space and your onward journey before shopping. An overnight stay gives the trip more breathing room, but it does not make driving after drinking safe: arrange the journey back to your accommodation in advance.

A two-night itinerary without rushing

Friday: settle in before the weekend

If your journey is long, arriving on Friday 27 November can make Saturday feel much more relaxed. Keep the evening simple: check in, find dinner and confirm the route to the venue. You do not need to fit a sightseeing programme around every spare hour. Having time to unpack and get your bearings can be enough.

Tell your accommodation when you expect to arrive, particularly if you are travelling after work or making several connections. Book your stay and event admission as separate arrangements, checking the conditions of both. If you are travelling internationally, also leave room in your plans for transport delays rather than booking an event visit immediately after arrival.

Saturday: focus on the event

Dedicate the main part of the day to MareDiVino e DiGusto and avoid making the evening too complicated. Save your ticket somewhere you can retrieve it easily, carry anything required by the admission conditions and agree on the return journey before entering. That leaves you free to enjoy the visit without watching the clock for a long drive home.

Travelling with friends? Discuss your priorities before the day starts. You may want to explore separately for a while and meet again at an agreed point. It is a simple way to let everyone follow their interests, especially when some people want detailed conversations and others prefer a shorter visit.

Sunday: a little time by the sea

If the weather is suitable, add a walk at Terrazza Mascagni before leaving Livorno. Its chequered paving and sea-facing balustrade offer a different setting from the exhibition hall. This is a separate stop on your trip, not the event venue, so allow for the transfer rather than treating everything as one walkable location.

Pack comfortable shoes, a windproof layer and something for rain. In late November, a coastal plan should be easy to shorten or change. If outdoor conditions are poor, make time for a leisurely indoor break instead. If Sunday is your preferred event day, simply swap the order and explore Livorno on Saturday.

Where to stay: a coastal base at Miramare

For a stay by the sea, take a look at the bungalows at Camping Village Miramare. These masonry units include a kitchenette and air conditioning with a heating function, useful features to consider for an autumn break. Ask about availability, rates and the conditions for your exact dates before finalising your plans.

Miramare and the Modigliani Forum are separate locations. If being next to the event entrance is your priority, choose your accommodation accordingly. If you prefer a coastal setting between visits, Miramare is an option to consider with a planned journey to and from the venue. Do not assume that a direct event shuttle is included.

Read Miramare’s practical information and confirm which facilities will be available in November. Summer services should not be the basis of an autumn booking: the information page lists the bar-restaurant season as May to September. Plan meals around the season and your chosen accommodation rather than relying on a summer holiday routine.

Three questions before you book

Which dates are for general visitors?

Public tickets are listed for 28 and 29 November 2026. Monday 30 November has a separate buyer registration process; check eligibility with the organiser.

Does a Miramare booking include admission?

This guide does not describe a ticket-and-accommodation package. Arrange your event ticket and accommodation separately; neither should be assumed to include the other.

How should I return after wine tasting?

Plan a non-driving option in advance: a designated driver who does not drink, a pre-booked taxi, or public transport after checking the route and last services. An overnight stay does not remove the need for a safe journey.

Would you like to combine the event with time on the Tuscan coast? Ask Miramare for availability and a quote, including your dates, party size and preferred accommodation. Then build a Livorno weekend that leaves room for both discovery and rest.

Information checked on 4 September 2026. Programmes, admission arrangements and opening times may change; consult the official sources before departure.
